Dan Epstein co-founded EdgeLine Capital Partners in June 2009. Mr. Epstein has over forty years of experience in the institutional investment business. Mr. Epstein focuses on US, Canadian and select European institutional investors, including corporate and public pension funds, endowments, foundations, and larger family offices. Mr. Epstein leads the firm’s real estate practice.

Mr. Epstein began his investment career at real estate firm Heitman. where he was a Managing Director. He was a co-managing partner of Heitman’s Special Projects (distressed properties) group.  His responsibilities also included marketing to a broad cross section of U.S., Canadian and European institutional investors. He also was involved in developing new real estate products for the firm. Mr. Epstein structured some of the earliest institutional real estate investment vehicles and directed Heitman’s entry into the pension fund equity management business. Prior to co-founding EdgeLine Capital, Mr. Epstein was employed at Wetherly Capital Group. He earned an AB degree from Princeton University and a JD degree from Fordham University Law School where he was invited to join Fordham Law Review and was a member of the National Moot Court team. Mr. Epstein holds the Series 7, 24, 52 and 63 licenses, and is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois. Mr. Epstein lives in Chicago and has two children.
