Dan Epstein co-founded EdgeLine Capital Partners in June 2009. Mr. Epstein has over thirty years of experience in the institutional investment business. Mr. Epstein focuses on private sector institutional investors, including corporate pension funds, endowments, foundations, U.S. and foreign Fund of Funds, family offices and select U.S. and Canadian public funds. Mr. Epstein leads the firm’s Canadian public fund practice.

Mr. Epstein began his investment career at Heitman Financial, where he was a Managing Director. His responsibilities included directing the firm’s Canadian and Swiss fund marketing practice, and marketing to a broad cross section of U.S. institutional investors. He also was involved in developing new real estate products for the firm. Mr. Epstein structured some of the earliest institutional real estate investment vehicles and directed Heitman’s entry into the pension fund equity management business. Prior to co-founding EdgeLine Capital, Mr. Epstein was employed at Wetherly Capital Group. Mr. Epstein currently serves as a Director and Executive Committee member of the Family Institute at Northwestern University. He earned an AB degree from Princeton University and a JD degree from Fordham University Law School in New York City, where he was invited to join Fordham Law Review and was a member of the National Moot Court team. Mr. Epstein holds the Series 7, 24, 52 and 63 licenses, and is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois. Mr. Epstein lives in Chicago and has two children.
